TIP03 - Stewing in Your Emotions
What is your emotional state right now?
Are you angry or resentful? Or is it more anxious, impatient, or overwhelmed? Are you struggling with grief and sadness and want to withdraw? Are you feeling apprehensive about the future and not sure what to do?
Do you often feel betrayed by your body or trapped by a challenging diagnosis?
Your emotional state (whether you are consciously "thinking" about how you feel or you are blocking those feelings) represents your current vibration. And... your vibration is what determines the biochemical soup every tissue in your body is stewing in right now.
If you are totally stressed out much of the day, your body is producing chemicals that are designed to cope with stressful situations. These powerful hormones evolved to "drive us" through times of battle where our life is threatened. Stress hormones care about nothing other than short term survival. And it makes sense. Watch a horse race, and you will see how strategically applying the sharp crack of a whip can drive a powerful animal to a higher level of performance... for a short distance....
But imagine if the same animal was whipped like that all day, every day, and wasn't sleeping well at night. It would not look all bright and spirited on race day, that's for sure!!! Yet, how many of us "whip" ourselves with our self-talk? How many of us stew in our resentments and self-disgust... and then expect our body to be all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed?
If you are not thrilled with how you feel in body, mind, and spirit, look at your habitual emotional states... and learn to shift them towards relief.
Our pain relief tip:
Bring ANY RELIEF to your current emotional state, and you shift your biochemistry in a healthier direction. Your body is exquisitely aware of whether you are becoming more stressed or more at ease. Soothe yourself even a small bit, and you will start bathing your tissues in chemicals of rest, renewal, and self-healing.
A list of common emotionally stressful states can be found on our website. Note which one best applies to you right in the moment, and do several rounds of tapping with EFT. We encourage you to do this 3-5 times a day for 3-5 minutes.

Note to members: In addition to the one EFT setup statement shown on the emotional states index, we have an entire script you can tap on for each emotion along with an audio recording where you can listen and tap along. Just click on the emotional state, logon, and tap away! The recordings can also be downloaded to your MP3 player.
Warm smiles,
